Welcome to the Bethesda Urban Partnership

Established by Montgomery County in 1994, the Bethesda Urban Partnership (BUP) markets downtown Bethesda, fulfills landscaping and maintenance needs and produces cultural events and festivals for the community. In its 16-year operation, BUP created Bethesda Transportation Solutions in 2000, established the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District in 2002, and took over management of the Bethesda Circulator in 2006.

Bethesda, one of the most renowned communities in the Greater Washington, D.C. area, is known as a great destination for ethnic restaurants, boutiques, home décor shops and artistic and trendy hot spots.  Bethesda's residents, visitors and employees enjoy the convenience of a Washington, D.C. suburb and the lifestyle  of one of the most coveted residential communities in the capital area.
